HALF A LIFETIME AGO
IN MY FOREVER DREAM
THE FAR AWAY PLACES I USED TO KNOW
STILL EXIST IN THE MORNING LIGHT
IT'S ONLY TIME
AND THERE'S A PLAN
STANDING BY
UNTIL THE END
FOUR THOUSAND FEET BELOW
AND I'M FADING TO GREY
I LEAVE MY BODY THERE FOR YOU
NO LONGER RESISTING THE TIDE
AND AS I FLOAT AWAY I WONDER WHY
NOW I'M NOT AFRAID TO SAY GOODBYE
AND AS I FLOAT AWAY I WONDER WHY
NOW I'M NOT AFRAID TO SAY GOODBYE

That album felt like coming home after a long time away but still being proud of everything I'd seen while I was gone. One minute and twenty seven seconds into "Kenver" feels like the culmination of everything I've loved about this band since I was a kid. It feels like the best parts of freedom I've felt on the best nights of my life. Scott

The verse "Can't even buy a coffee without exploiting someone" got me. It really hits hard. For the entire length of the album it felt like the end of the world.
But to be perfectly honest, it's just how life is these days. And it's fucked up. szczur

Sludge, Shoegaze, Atmospheric, Heavy Metal, Alt-metal, you name it. This album has it all, and it is perfect. It came out during a rough time period of my life and others lives too. It's been the soundtrack for all of my pain. Thank you Hum tawper
Their name is misleading: Nebraska group Uh Oh deliver delightfully raucous, guitar-driven rock & roll with rootsy hooks for days. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 4, 2021

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
