He's given up on everything. He'd rather throw it away then feel the pain that life dealt him. And it hurts to see so many less fortunate, and you choose to leave. Greed fuels the anger within me. Selfishness won't be forgiven. And in your heart loneliness will not be forgotten. You chose the fate of this family and left a blood line of hatred. How could you let this be? Your family. What were you thinking? In this life we lose enough. So the fact that i'm still waking up is what i'm thankful of. I would never give it up like you. I'm not letting go, I will withstand it. And if only love could truly cure the pain then maybe he would've stayed and things would be different. Helpless. You left them all helpless. But you couldn't see that what goes around, it comes back around at me. And it comes fierce. I'm helpless. We will remember you as a selfish man or we won't remember you. And it will not be forgiven.
Raw, expressive, and achieves a remarkable balance between melody and sharp hardcore edge. It presents a type of duality that makes euphony and cacophony sound beautiful together, like rice and beans (a complete protein) :) Love the sound, this split demonstrates impressive talent! Kenny McGalem
The beginning of something great!
From the opening post rock instrumentation of the 1st track to the emoting pleading lead vocals; you can tell immediately that Gates is something different & special.
At times reminiscent of Thrice & Thursday vocally "Fear" sets the sonic blueprint for how "Post - whatever" bands with vocals can be so powerful in both form and presence.
Gates angst is fresh and liberating! Agent K
