No matter what I say I will never escape this (XO Skeleton)
Feel it crawling beneath the floorboards to where I'm sleeping (Somethings creeping)
And I'm confusing grace with fear and love and what feels right for me
Makes your body sore and slow how dare it fail you (XO Skeleton)
Brings you down to your knees as you plead and beg for mercy (Sunday sleeping)
Cause I've been losing grace over fear and love and what feels right for me
I don't want to feel down or shame
If only I could change my XO skeleton
I've been losing this race, last place
If only I could change my XO skeleton
Feels so strange to be dead and walk among the living (XO skeleton)
Nothing impresses me but damn taste that sugar (Got me shakin')
Now I'm losing sleep over fear and love and what I don't need to say
I don't want to feel down or shame
If only I could change my XO skeleton
I've been losing this race
I'm last place
If only I could change my XO skeleton
I'm just fixing my crown, xo skeleton
Don't try so hard to let yourself down
I don't want to feel down or shame
If only I could change my XO skeleton
I've been losing this race, last place
Only I can change my XO skeleton
I don't want to feel down or shame
If only I could change my XO skeleton
I've been losing this race
I'm last place
If only I could change my XO skeleton
XO skeleton

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
