Comatose,
As I sat in the elm groves.
And woke to the sound of my own voice.
Facing all that I used to be,
No matter what I used to think,
Not sure if I was in a dream.
Now stone,
Listen to the wind blow.
And howl for the sake of howling long.
Strip the weight of my back,
And move along.
Freewheeling,
In all of this,
I’m such a rolling stone.
I can only hold on,
For so long.
I can only hold on,
For so long.
Now holy ghost,
Cut through my soul.
So you can call me Stevie from now on,
Retire my old name,
And let my gold ring,
And chain,
Throw my weight.
Freewheeling,
In all of this,
I’m such a rolling stone.
I can only hold on,
For so long.
I can only hold on,
For so.
Let me gold ring,
And chain.
Throw my weight. (x4)
the evolution of citizen is almost identical to the typical depiction of human evolution. As you please strays from the previous releases while containing raw emotion. ghøstbødy
Before this album I'd only ever really listened to Lament and Dead Horse X; I've never been -that- familiar with touche amore but this blasted them from being a band I enjoyed on occasion to an absolute favorite, one I feel connected with personally, intimately. I feel understood which is a rare experience. sleepy_foxie
A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
The Boston indie rockers return, with their characteristic mix of poignant lyrics and melodies that can turn from delicate to anthemic. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 12, 2019
While they may have long ago abandonded their scrappier origins, TJ:s music still has this gorgeous whistfulness to it that just keeps me coming back for more. alvarfj
