YOU WAKE UP WITH A SIGH
AFTER SLEEPING ON YOUR SECRET
SHRINKING BACK TO BACK ALL NIGHT
THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING THERE BETWEEN YOU
WHAT MAKES YOU SO HARD FOR ME TO FIND
WHEN YOU'RE RIGHT BY MY SIDE
I LOOK FOR YOU EVERY DAY
ALWAYS SOMETHING IN THE WAY
BEFORE YOU REACH FOR WHAT YOU NEED
BEHIND THE LINE OF FRAGILE OBJECTS
BETTER BE PREPARED TO CATCH THEM
OR RUN WHEN THEY FALL
WHAT MAKES YOU SO HARD FOR ME TO FIND
WHEN YOU'RE RIGHT BY MY SIDE
I LOOK FOR YOU EVERY DAY
ALWAYS SOMETHING IN THE WAY
MEET IN THE DOORWAY, FACE TO FACE
STEP BACK AND SAY NOTHING
YOU ROLL YOUR EYES TO FIND THE WALL
ALWAYS IN THE WAY
WHAT MAKES YOU SO HARD FOR ME TO FIND
WHEN YOU'RE RIGHT BY MY SIDE
I LOOK FOR YOU EVERY DAY
ALWAYS SOMETHING IN THE WAY
WHY ARE YOU SO HARD TO FIND
THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING IN THE WAY

That album felt like coming home after a long time away but still being proud of everything I'd seen while I was gone. One minute and twenty seven seconds into "Kenver" feels like the culmination of everything I've loved about this band since I was a kid. It feels like the best parts of freedom I've felt on the best nights of my life. Scott

The verse "Can't even buy a coffee without exploiting someone" got me. It really hits hard. For the entire length of the album it felt like the end of the world.
But to be perfectly honest, it's just how life is these days. And it's fucked up. szczur

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Their name is misleading: Nebraska group Uh Oh deliver delightfully raucous, guitar-driven rock & roll with rootsy hooks for days. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 4, 2021

Sludge, Shoegaze, Atmospheric, Heavy Metal, Alt-metal, you name it. This album has it all, and it is perfect. It came out during a rough time period of my life and others lives too. It's been the soundtrack for all of my pain. Thank you Hum tawper
