Safe from the cold night.
The past few years have got me,
Standing in the doorway.
Sit down,
Come in from the outside.
Your green eyes,
You may never meet mine.
Your green eyes,
You may never meet mine.
No love wasn’t foreign,
We knew, ones before this.
Embrace,
And only drift away.
So lean into the feeling,
Feign interest for no reason.
Come morning,
We both knew you wouldn’t stay.
Your green eyes,
You may never meet mine.
Your green eyes,
You may never meet mine.
While goodbye is not forever,
Farewell my getaway.
And maybe we’ll meet,
In a different time and place.
And if hello may be harder,
When all my mistakes,
Grab hold,
And they get in our way.
Your green eyes,
You may never meet mine.
Your green eyes,
You may never meet mine.
So I get along on courage,
To a kindred young spirit.
Prove,
That I’m still alive.
Give up on all the anger,
To the heavens and stars.
Realize,
The choice is never mine.
the evolution of citizen is almost identical to the typical depiction of human evolution. As you please strays from the previous releases while containing raw emotion. ghøstbødy
Before this album I'd only ever really listened to Lament and Dead Horse X; I've never been -that- familiar with touche amore but this blasted them from being a band I enjoyed on occasion to an absolute favorite, one I feel connected with personally, intimately. I feel understood which is a rare experience. sleepy_foxie
A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
The Boston indie rockers return, with their characteristic mix of poignant lyrics and melodies that can turn from delicate to anthemic. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 12, 2019
While they may have long ago abandonded their scrappier origins, TJ:s music still has this gorgeous whistfulness to it that just keeps me coming back for more. alvarfj
