i cant bare to see my friend like this
a shell of a human being a broken mess
who did this to you, what was their name
who took this man on fire and snuffed his flame
dont let the light
the light from your life go
the darkness creeps in and drags you below
show me the fire not the doubt
dont let the burning
burn its self out
looks like im gonna follow you into hell
thats fine Ive fought too many demons to talk about
and then ill follow you into the oceans blue
ill try to hold the weight
but i cant trend water for you
dont slip below
dont let the light
the light from your life go
the darkness creeps in and drags you below
show me the fire not the doubt
dont let the burning
burn its self out
don't let the burning burn it self out
dont let the light
the light from your life go
the darkness creeps in and drags you below
show me the fire not the doubt
dont let the burning
burn its self out
don't let the burning burn it self out
dont let the burning burn it self out
I'm coming out of a decade long musical hiatus. The last punk band to really move me was from the Bay (American Steel), so it's no surprise that I returned there for inspiration. Can't Swim is absolutely worth a listen for fans of Lawrence Arms or Taking Back Sunday. I'm sure there are much better comparisons - if that's you thing - but as I said, I've been out of the game for a long time. Thank you to Can't Swim for inspiring me to play again. Dave Wreckoning
